Overview
Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, please contact us at smallbites.patisserie@gmail.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Returns
As our products are perishable, we do not accept general returns. In exceptional cases where a return is approved (e.g., in the event of a major fault), the item must be returned to us within 24 hours of the delivery or pick up date.
If you are returning a non-perishable item (e.g. a cake toppers, accessories, candles, card), you have 30 days to do so from your purchase date. Please follow below instructions :

Product Refunds Perishable Products
At Small Bites Patisserie, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our handmade products. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we strive to ensure every order meets our high standards.
If you believe there is an issue with the flavour or quality of your product, we ask that you to contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order. All concerns will be assessed at the discretion of Small Bites Patisserie, and any potential refund or remedy will be offered in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. To process a quality-related claim, the product must be returned in its original condition and with a substantial portion uneaten to allow for inspection. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds for items that have been significantly or entirely consumed, unless there is a proven fault.
Allergy Disclaimer
While we take every care to prevent cross-contamination, our home-based kitchen handles common allergens including gluten, wheat, nuts, dairy, soy, and eggs. It is the responsibility of the customer to inform us of any allergies when placing an order. We do not offer refunds for allergic reactions if allergens were not disclosed at the time of ordering.
Change of Mind
As our items are made to order, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for change-of-mind once production has commenced. Please ensure all order details (including design, flavours, spelling, and delivery/pick-up time) are confirmed accurately at the time of ordering.
Design & Decoration
Refunds will not be provided for dissatisfaction related to:
*Design or styling preferences
*Colour tones or shading variations
*General decorative elements
Please note that minor variations may occur due to the handmade nature of our work and differences in screen or print colour representation.
Damages ad Issues
Small Bites Patisserie aim to provide as much detail and assistance in relation to best storage practices for your order. Before purchasing any of our products, you may ask first about storage details for the items you aim to purchase. Small Bites Patisserie accepts no responsibility if a cake is damaged after it has been picked up by the client or a designated person, or, after the completion of delivery to the client’s address or event space.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Cancellation Policy
Any cancellations will result in the forfeit of your non-refundable deposit. All cancellations or changes to your design must be requested in writing. Orders cancelled within 7 days of your pick up or delivery date may result in the full booking amount being forfeited. We also understand that things happen, if you need to move your date you are required to notify Small Bites Patisserie in writing. Your requested date change is not guaranteed, and please understand the new date will be subject to availability.
Covid Statement
Our cancellation policy for bookings affected by Covid-19 or lockdowns are in line with our standard cancellation policy. By paying your deposit, the client accepts, understands and agrees to the risks associated with lockdowns. Any orders directly impacted by a lockdown, that is unable to go ahead or be postponed, will be classed as a cancellation and normal cancellation policies apply.
The non-refundable deposit remains non-refundable. The deposit can be used as a credit for a new booking if agreed upon by both the client and Small Bites Patisserie. This needs to be agreed upon in writing. Booking credits are valid for 12 months from the original booking date.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale/clearance/promotion items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, please contact us (email / mobile / Whatsapp) on the day you received it, send us a picture then send your item back to us. We will provide you the address.
Shipping returns
To return your product, you should mail your product to us. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
